What a generated set looks like
One question, straight from a B2 set
Teil 3 · Diskussion (example)
Anna: „Homeoffice macht viele produktiver.“ · Markus: „Mag sein — aber Teams zerfallen, wenn man sich nie sieht.“
Wer äußert Bedenken über die Zusammenarbeit im Team?
Markus concedes („mag sein“) then objects — the objection, not the concession, is his position. Attribution under concession is the core B2 Teil 3 skill.
In the generator this comes with full audio, 4 task types and an answer key.
The B2 task types you can generate
The official Goethe-Zertifikat B2 listening module (2019 format) has four parts in roughly 40 minutes, moving from short clips to a discussion and a talk. soruLab's B2 generator mirrors all four task types, including the 'Wer sagt das?' speaker-matching discussion.
| Teil | Audio | Questions |
|---|---|---|
| Teil 1 — Kurze Texte | 4 short audio clips, 2 questions each | 8 × multiple choice (a/b/c) |
| Teil 2 — Radio-Interview | One in-depth expert interview | 10 × multiple choice (a/b/c) |
| Teil 3 — Diskussion | 3-person discussion — who says what? | 8 × speaker matching |
| Teil 4 — Kurzvortrag | A short academic lecture | 8 × multiple choice (a/b/c) |
Why B2 Hören punishes single-voice practice
The hardest B2 task isn't vocabulary — it's tracking three voices in a discussion and attributing opinions to the right person while they interrupt and half-agree with each other. If all your practice audio is one calm narrator, Teil 3 will be brutal on exam day.
soruLab generates genuine multi-speaker audio: each named participant gets a distinct natural German voice, and the questions ask exactly what the exam asks — wer sagt das? Combine that with expert interviews and mini-lectures at B2 density, and a new set is one click away, every day.
Common questions
Does this cover all four parts of the B2 listening module?
Yes — short clips, a long expert interview, a three-person discussion with speaker matching, and a short academic lecture. You choose which Teil to generate each time.
How does the multi-speaker discussion audio work?
Each named speaker in the script is voiced by a different natural German neural voice, so you genuinely practise telling voices apart — the exact skill Teil 3 tests with its 'Wer sagt das?' questions.
Is the content register really B2?
Yes — abstract but accessible topics (work culture, urban development, technology, health policy), subordinate-clause-heavy German and realistic radio tempo, without drifting into academic C1 jargon.
Is this an official Goethe-Institut product?
No. soruLab is an independent practice tool. Task formats follow the public exam structure; for official model tests see goethe.de.
