What a generated set looks like

One question, straight from a B1 set

Teil 1 · Alltagsgespräch (example)

„Eigentlich wollten wir im Sommer nach Spanien fahren, aber die Flüge sind so teuer geworden, dass wir jetzt doch in den Bergen bleiben.“

Die Familie macht Urlaub in Spanien.

richtigRichtig
falschFalsch

„Eigentlich wollten wir … aber …“ is the signature B1 trap: the original plan is stated first, the real outcome after „aber“. They're staying in the mountains.

In the generator this comes with full audio, 3 task types and an answer key.

The B1 task types you can generate

The official Goethe-Zertifikat B1 listening module has four parts, around 40 minutes and 30 items — the longest listening exam so far in the Goethe series. soruLab's B1 generator drills its three core discourse types with full-length scripts.

TeilAudioQuestions
Teil 1 — Alltagsgespräche4 everyday conversations, 2 statements each8 × richtig / falsch
Teil 2 — Radio-InterviewOne longer radio interview with a guest8 × multiple choice (a/b/c)
Teil 3 — Ankündigungen5 public announcements5 × multiple choice (a/b/c)

Why B1 Hören is mostly a stamina problem

B1 is the first level where you must hold attention through a long interview — following an opinion as it develops, not just catching isolated facts. Most candidates don't fail because the German is too hard; they fail because their concentration collapses halfway through Teil 2 and every option suddenly sounds plausible.

Stamina is trainable, but only with material you haven't heard before. soruLab generates a new B1 interview or conversation set on every run — realistic radio German, B1 grammar, natural voices — so you can practise full-length listening daily without ever repeating a script.

Common questions

What makes B1 listening harder than A2?

Length and inference. Recordings run longer, speakers express opinions and change plans mid-sentence (eigentlich … aber …), and questions test what a speaker means, not just what they literally say.

Does the generator produce full-length interviews?

Yes — Teil 2 sets are continuous radio-style interviews of roughly 600 words with 8 exam-format multiple-choice questions, matching the endurance demand of the real module.

Can I practise one Teil at a time?

Yes. You pick the Teil before generating, so you can drill only conversations, only the interview, or only announcements — useful for targeting your weakest task type.

Is this an official Goethe-Institut product?

No. soruLab is an independent practice tool. Task formats follow the public exam structure; for official model tests see goethe.de.
