What a generated set looks like

One question, straight from a A2 set

Teil 2 · Interview (example)

„Am Wochenende gehe ich am liebsten wandern — im Winter aber bleibe ich zu Hause und koche für Freunde.“

Was macht die Person im Winter am liebsten?

aSie geht wandern.
bSie kocht für Freunde.
cSie besucht Freunde zu Hause.

The contrast marker „aber“ flips the answer for winter. Option c is the classic A2 distractor — right words, wrong direction: friends come to her.

In the generator this comes with full audio, 3 task types and an answer key.

The A2 task types you can generate

The official Goethe-Zertifikat A2 listening module has four parts and takes about 30 minutes. soruLab's A2 generator covers its three core discourse types — short dialogues, an interview and announcements — so you can drill each one separately.

TeilAudioQuestions
Teil 1 — Kurze Gespräche5 short everyday conversations5 × richtig / falsch
Teil 2 — InterviewOne interview on a familiar topic5 × multiple choice (a/b/c)
Teil 3 — Radio-Ansagen5 radio / public announcements to match to a topic5 × matching

Why A2 is where listening starts to feel fast

A2 recordings are still about everyday life — plans, shopping, small talk — but they stop being artificially slow. Speakers link sentences with weil, deshalb and aber, and the correct answer is often a paraphrase rather than the exact words you heard. That jump catches most self-learners off guard.

The fix is volume: hearing dozens of different dialogues and interviews at the same level until paraphrase-spotting becomes automatic. soruLab writes a new A2 script for every generation, voices it with natural German TTS, and hands you the transcript and answer key after you submit.

Common questions

How is A2 Hören different from A1?

Texts are longer and faster, and answers are paraphrased instead of repeated word-for-word. You also meet a new task type: a continuous interview with one person rather than only short isolated clips.

Which task types can I practise here?

Three: short everyday conversations with richtig/falsch statements, a one-person interview with multiple-choice questions, and radio/public announcements you match to topics — the core discourse types of the A2 listening module.

Can I choose the topic?

Yes — you can give the generator a topic hint (like 'Wochenendpläne' or 'Einkaufen'), or let it pick a typical A2 scenario for you.

Is this an official Goethe-Institut product?

No. soruLab is an independent practice tool. Task formats follow the public exam structure; for official model tests see goethe.de.
