telc Pflege Fallbeispiele: 3 Nursing Cases and 6 Practice Items (2026)

What Fallbeispiele items test, how they relate to the official telc Pflege reading parts, and 3 new nursing cases with 6 items, answers and explanations.

·Edited by soruLab Editorial Team·Sources checked

A Fallbeispiel is a short nursing case in German with one question about it. You read what happens to one patient and choose the answer that the case text supports. This guide explains what these items test and gives you 3 new cases with 6 items and full explanations.

Is Fallbeispiele an official telc Pflege exam part?

No. "Fallbeispiele" is the name of a practice item type in the soruLab test bank. The official telc Übungstest 1 lists 4 reading parts, 4 listening parts and 2 Sprachbausteine parts. None of them has the name Fallbeispiele. Our telc B1-B2 Pflege exam guide gives the full structure and timings.

Two official parts come close to a case:

Official part What you get Items
Lesen Teil 2 A care plan (Pflegeplanung) for one patient 5 matching items, one sentence has no match
Hören Teil 3 A team meeting on the ward 6 multiple-choice items

In both parts, you follow one patient or one ward problem through many details. A Fallbeispiel trains this in a shorter form. Each soruLab case has 4 options (a–d). The official multiple-choice items in the telc Übungstest have 3 options (a–c).

What a Fallbeispiel item tests

A Fallbeispiel item tests 3 things:

  1. Exact reading of one case. The case gives names, times, body sides and orders. The correct answer depends on one of these details.
  2. Nursing vocabulary in context. The case uses words such as Rücksprache, Anleitung or voll belasten. The options often say the same thing with different words.
  3. The order of actions. Many items ask what the nurse does first. The case text gives the order. Your own ward routine does not.

The item does not test clinical knowledge on its own. The exam tests language for nursing work, not clinical skills. If an option is medically correct but the case text does not support it, the option is wrong.

How to read a Fallbeispiel in 3 steps

  1. Read the question before the case text.
  2. Underline every name, time, number and body side in the case.
  3. For each option, find the sentence in the case that confirms it or contradicts it.

If you cannot find a sentence for an option, do not choose it.

3. Was macht die Pflegefachkraft zuerst? a) Sie gibt Herrn Petrović Apfelsaft. b) Sie spritzt das Insulin wie jeden Morgen. c) Sie ruft sofort die Physiotherapie an. d) Sie misst nach 15 Minuten den Blutdruck.

Answers and the sentence that decides each item

Begleitung means that a person goes with her. Option a contradicts darf das Bein voll belasten. Option b repeats the night event, not the new order.

The last sentence gives the reason with weil. The case says Handgelenk and the option says Hand. Options often use a near word like this. Option a uses the X-ray, but the X-ray is still in the future.

3. a) Sie gibt Herrn Petrović Apfelsaft. The word zuerst in the case answers the question directly. Option b is the normal routine, and the case stops it: erst nach Rücksprache. Option d changes one word: the case says Blutzucker, the option says Blutdruck.

Rücksprache mit dem Arzt means a talk with the doctor before a decision. Option c says the opposite. No sentence in the case supports option a.

Two sentences decide: the daughter übernimmt den Verbandwechsel, and the nurse shows it to her on Thursday. Option a uses a real detail from the case, the Pflegedienst. The case limits it to zweimal zur Kontrolle, not every day.

6. a) Nach drei Tagen braucht Frau Okafor ein Rezept. The case gives material für drei Tage and then Für die Zeit danach braucht sie ein Rezept. Option c changes the number. Option d moves the Thursday appointment into a different statement.

3 mistakes candidates make with case items

Mistake 1: The candidate answers from ward experience. In case 2, nurses know the morning insulin routine and choose option b. The case text stops the routine, so the routine answer is wrong.

Mistake 2: The candidate accepts an option because it contains a word from the case. Option 2a contains Ärztin and Röntgen, and both words are in case 1. The option still connects them to the wrong event.

Mistake 3: The candidate ignores small changes of number or body side. Case 1 has links for the prosthesis and rechts for the wrist. Case 3 has drei Tage and zweimal. If the option changes one number or one side, the option is wrong.
